Hawks Head to Miami in Search of Fifth Straight Win

Atlanta has raced out to a 7-2 record so far, and will be looking for an eighth win on November 15

The Atlanta Hawks have taken advantage of their relatively soft schedule so far, racing out to a 7-2 record through their first nine games. Looking to continue this recent success, the Hawks head to Miami for a Tuesday night matchup with the Heat.

This will be the first matchup of the season between these two teams, after both finished the 2015-16 campaign with 48 wins. The Heat won the tiebreaker (and the third seed in the East) due to their head-to-head record. This year, though, these teams appear to be on different trajectories after Chris Bosh’s health problems and Dwayne Wade’s departure. The Heat have struggled so far this season, forced to rely on unproven players in the absence of their former stars.

This should be an interesting matchup to follow. The Heat still have plenty of talented players (Hassan Whiteside in particular), and getting a road win here would be a good showing from the Hawks. The season is still young, and racking up wins against teams like the Heat will continue to be important for the Hawks.
