The Atlanta Hawks are rolling right now after three consecutive wins and, on Saturday, the expectation is that the success will continue. A big part of that belief is that the Philadelphia 76ers are in town and, well, that means that Atlanta is a significant favorite to pick up their fourth straight victory.
In an earlier meeting this season, the Hawks ran away and hid during a 32-point thrashing and, on this occasion, Sixers big man (and general NBA prodigy) Joel Embiid is not expected to play on the second night of a back-to-back. As a result, Philadelphia will be short-handed and giving up a ton in terms of talent when compared to Atlanta, and with the Hawks well-rested after two days off, that spells disaster for the road team.
There are a few ways (highlighted by general indifference) in which the Hawks could be threatened in their own building, but this is a nice measuring stick of how the team gets up for a game that everyone believes it will win with relative ease. Stay tuned throughout the evening for full coverage from Philips Arena.
