Atlanta Hawks vs Philadelphia 76ers game thread

The Atlanta Hawks hit the road for a rare Saturday mid-day matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Hawks used a strong fourth quarter to snap a four-game losing streak in season openers with a 114-99 win over the Washington Wizards. They will look for a more balanced effort on Saturday when they face off against the Philadelphia 76ers in a rare mid-day start.

The Sixers are an intriguing team especially with center Joel Embiid healthy and on the court. Embiid scored 20 points in his season debut but is on a minutes restriction so don't expect to see him for more than 20-25 minutes of action. Sergio Rodriguez also had a nice debut for the Sixers finishing with 12 points and nine assists with no turnovers in Wednesday's loss to the Thunder. So keep an eye on the matchup between Rodriguez and Dennis Schröder this afternoon as well.
