Dwight Howard posted a double-double with 11 points and 19 rebounds in the introduction to his hometown crowd in the Atlanta Hawks' 114-99 win over the Washington Wizards on Thursday. He also added three blocks and a steal. Despite some first half offensive struggles, the Hawks responded with a 10-0 run to start the final quarter and put away Washington.
While battling Howard, Wizards' Marcin Gortat shot 2/6 from the field and only grabbed 11 rebounds. In his postgame presser, Howard discussed the team effort and defense that contributed to the win.
