Atlanta Hawks Sole Search

A quest to figure out what shoes the Hawks are wearing this season.

Over the last two weeks, I have been on a search to figure out what shoes each Atlanta Hawks player is wearing this season. This wasn’t an easy mission, due to the fact that most pictures of ballers weren’t taken to specifically showcase the player’s sneakers. All of the Hawks currently fall into four brands; Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, and Peak. The players, and what shoes they wear are listed below.

Nike

The majority of Atlanta's players wear Nike shoes, and the majority of those who wear Nikes sport Kobes. Kyle Korver, Will Bynum, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Mike Muscala all wear Kobes to ball. Other Hawks who wear Nikes include Kris Humphries, Jarrett Jack, Dennis Schroder, Ryan Kelly, Paul Millsap, Mike Scott, Thabo Sefolosha, Malcolm Delaney, Walter Tavares, and Matt Costello. The shoes they wear include various versions of the Hyperdunk, Kyrie Irving’s signature shoe, the HyperRev, Hyperchase, Zoom KD 9’s, and the Air Max Audacity.

Adidas

Our rookies, DeAndre Bembry and Taurean Prince, both are Adidas athletes. Lately, they have been wearing the D Lillard 2. Josh Magette also wears Adidas and wore various Adidas shoes while playing for the Los Angeles D-Fenders.

Under Armour

Kent Bazemore is the only Hawk to wear Under Armour. In the picture above he is wearing the Clutchfit Drive 3 Low, but has worn Stephen Curry's signature in the past. In fact, Bazemore is one of the reasons why Curry is an UA athlete.

Peak/Other

Dwight Howard is the only Hawk with his own signature shoe. His shoe, the Peak DH2, came out this year. Dwight recently switched to Peak, a Chinese brand, after spending multiple years with Adidas. Aside from Dwight, Tony Parker is the biggest NBA name at Peak.

Tiago Splitter usually wears Kevin Durant’s signature shoes, but due to injury he will be sporting slides for the next little while.
