The Knicks are one of several teams who have talked to Atlanta about a trade for point guard Jeff Teague, league sources tell ESPN. (1/2).— Ian Begley (@IanBegley) January 27, 2016
Knicks have limited assets, may have to get creative to land Teague. Yahoo! earlier reported ATL was listening to offers on the PG (2/2)— Ian Begley (@IanBegley) January 27, 2016
One thing to note on Teague: he is slated to make $8 million in 2016-17. So a trade for Teague would impact NYK's cap space for this summer.— Ian Begley (@IanBegley) January 27, 2016
At this point, it appears that things are still in the early stages. Begley points out that the Knicks are one of several teams that have spoken with Atlanta. Nothing at this point should be considered imminent but the situation is worth watching closely.
