The Atlanta Hawks look to keep their momentum going when they finish off a road back-to-back with a matchup against the Sacramento Kings. Atlanta has won three straight and improved to a season-best nine games over .500 with a 104-98 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
Paul Millsap and Kent Bazemore combined for 19 points in the fourth quarter on Wednesday as the Hawks held off a fourth quarter push from Portland. Millsap finished with a game-high 23 points and has scored at least 20 in four of the last five games.
Atlanta won the first meeting between the two clubs 103-97 in November. Dennis Schroder stepped in for an ailing Jeff Teague with 22 points to help offset a big night from Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins. The Hawks have won seven straight games in Sacramento and have a 15-game winning streak overall against the Kings dating back to 2008.
Sacramento does come into Thursday's game playing well as they matched a season-best third straight win with a 112-93 win over the Lakers on Wednesday. Cousins did most of the damage finishing with 36 points and 16 rebounds.
