With a healthy roster in place, the Atlanta Hawks will turn again to the D-League to get a couple of their young players some in-game action. The Hawks announced on Wednesday that they have assigned Walter Tavares and Lamar Patterson to the Austin Spurs via the league's flexible assignment rule.

This will be Patterson's third D-League assignment this season. He appeared in two games with the Spurs in November and returned in early December for a one-game stint. He has averaged 15.3 points, 7.3 assists and 7.0 rebounds in those three contests.

This assignment will be Tavares' fifth so far this season. He has appeared in five games so far for Austin and a pair for the Canton Charge. Tavares is averaging 9.3 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.9 blocks in seven combined games.

The Austin Spurs lead the D-League's southwest division with a 14-6 record and return to action on Thursday when they head west to take on the Bakersfield Jam. They continue their west-coast trip on Friday against the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
