Robinson was originally a second-round draft pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2014. He appeared in 25 games while averaging just 1.2 points in 4.3 minutes per game. He was waived in March and later claimed by the Philadelphia 76ers. He played 10 games for Philly averaging 4.4 points in 15.3 minutes of action. He is a former teammate of Tim Hardaway Jr at Michigan whom Atlanta acquired via a draft day trade.
The Hawks announced the acquisition of Tiago Splitter and the re-signing of Paul Millsap on Thursday. The Hawks also reportedly have agreements in place with Walter Tavares and Justin Holiday. The team waived forward Austin Daye also on Thursday opening up a potential roster spot.
