Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott is reportedly facing felony drug charges after a vehicle that he was a passenger in failed to yield to officers in Banks County, Georgia, per AccessWDUN.
Deputies reportedly attempted to stop the driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Antonn Imhotep Scott, when he sped up to 98 mph, and did not stop for another two miles. When approached by officers, both admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. Banks County Sheriff's Sgt. Carissa McFaddin said, "Deputies located over an ounce of Marijuana in the vehicle along with approximately 10.9 grams of MDMA, known as 'Molly'."
Scott was charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession of Schedule I drug, while the driver of the vehicle was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers, following too closely, felony possession of marijuana, and possession of Schedule I drug.
Scott was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2012 NBA Draft by the Hawks with the 43rd overall pick. He has averaged 7.9 points over his career, along with 3.2 rebounds per game. The Hawks have yet to release a statement on the matter.
