Ashley put up a good showing while playing for the Hawks in Las Vegas this summer. He appeared in seven games while averaging 10.8 points on 52 percent shooting to go along with 5.3 rebounds per game. Ashley went undrafted out of Arizona, but apparently turned enough heads to gain the opportunity to compete for a roster spot with the Mavericks.
The Hawks signed Lamar Patterson and Terran Petteway to partially guaranteed contracts earlier this week. Glenn Robinson III, who was also a member of Atlanta's summer league team, agreed to a three-year deal with the Indiana Pacers.
