On the first day of free agency, the San Antonio Spurs traded Tiago Splitter to the Hawks for an undisclosed compensation package to be announced later.
The information came from the source of all news, Y!Sports Adrian Wojnorowski:
The San Antonio Spurs have traded center Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

This means the Hawks bolster their froncourt, but does not mean anything, necessarily related to the max offer for Millsap or DeMarre Carroll, although, we've come to believe that it is Millsap or Carroll at this point but not both.
Anyway, having a center means that Horford can play the PF spot that sooooooo many people believe is his true position, even after three AS nods at center.
The Spurs are rumored to be bringing in LaMarcus Aldridge so the Hawks, with so many ties to the Spurs and needing to bring in some frontcourt help, especially with Millsap or Carroll leaving, makes a lot of sense.
