Atlanta Hawks center Pero Antic has reportedly agreed to a deal with Fenerbahce/Ulker to return to Europe next season according to a report by Eurohoops.net. Per the report, the deal is expected to be finalized over the next few days.
Antic spent the last two seasons with the Hawks appearing in 113 games while averaging 6.3 points and 3.5 rebounds. He would have been a restricted free agent this summer if the Hawks chosen to issue him a qualifying offer. Antic will turn 33 later this summer and is likely eyeing playing out his career a little closer to home.
Antic served as Al Horford's primary backup in 2015 and spent time as the starter when Horford was injured in 2014. Mike Budenholzer and the coaching staff constantly praised Antic for being a teammate and for his high basketball IQ.
