2014 second-round pick Walter Tavares has had an outstanding season in Spain for Gran Canaria in both the Liga Endesa and Eurocup play. His maturation has not gone unnoticed and he could have plenty of international teams interested in him this summer.
Walter Tavares is gonna get paid. Barcelona, Madrid and Fenerbahce - I'm told - in pursuit of EuroCup best center.

Atlanta, I've heard, love Walter Tavares. His Spanish deal consists of outs - could land in NBA or Euro powerhouse.

Tavares averaged 8.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 31 games so far in the Liga Endesa. He averaged 9.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 23 Eurocup games. It is expected that Tavares will again play for the Hawks during summer league, but it is not clear what the plan is beyond that.
What is certain is the improvements that Tavares has made and he could end up being a steal for Atlanta as a second-round pick.
