In what appears to be a wild incident, two members of the Atlanta Hawks have reportedly been arrested in New York. According to the New York Daily News, Thabo Sefolosha and Pero Antic were booked for "for trying to prevent police from setting up a crime scene" and they were charged with obstructing governmental administration.
As part of the incident, Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland was reportedly stabbed and as a result, he was rushed to a nearby hospital. The crazy scene took place at 1 Oak nightclub in Chelsea.
The Hawks would have arrived in the wee hours of Wednesday morning after defeating the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday evening in Atlanta, and they are scheduled to play against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. There is no indication as to whether Antic and Sefolosha are still in police custody at this time, but we will update you throughout the day as information becomes available.
