Former Atlanta Hawks center Dikembe Mutombo will be part of the 2015 class of the Basketball Hall of Fame. The 11-member class will be honored on September 10-12 in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Mutombo was an eight time NBA All-Star and a four-time Defensive Player of the Year. Mutombo spent five seasons with the Hawks after signing as a free agent in 1996. He was traded by the Hawks to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2001 where he helped the Sixers reach the NBA Finals.
Mutombo ranks third on the Hawks franchise all-time list for blocks and has become one of the leading ambassadors for the game worldwide.
