Since the NCAA Final Four is tonight, we thought it would be fun to give you a list of Hawks players who used to play for one of the colleges in the Final Four as well as a chance to vote on who you think will win!
A few fun facts:
- Kentucky has the most former Atlanta Hawks with seven, then Duke with six, Michigan State with four, and Wisconsin with just two.
- Despite having less than Kentucky and Duke, Michigan State has the most cumulative seasons played as an Atlanta Hawk with 23 seasons, followed by Duke with 12, Kentucky with 10, and Wisconsin with five.
- Only in 13 of the 47 seasons since the Hawks moved to Atlanta have the Hawks not had a player from one of the Final Four colleges this year (1968-71, 1972-76, 1977-78, 2001-04, 2010-2012).
Notes: I counted playing any part of a season as a season played for a team, and this only takes into account players who played for the Atlanta Hawks, not any previous Hawks team.
