Dennis Schröder injury: No broken toe for Hawks guard

The Atlanta Hawks received a bit of good news on Tuesday, when Dennis Schröder announced that he had not suffered a broken toe.

Well, this is good news for Dennis Schröder and the Atlanta Hawks.

The Hawks recorded a solid home victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, but the win was tainted a bit when Schröder exited the contest early as a result of a toe injury. When Schröder emerged from the locker room during the fourth quarter without a walking boot, optimism reigned, but after Mike Budenholzer declined to issue a statement about his backup point guard's prognosis on Tuesday, it was a potentially ominous sign.

However, Dennis Schröder took to Twitter on his own and alleviated any major concern. It must be noted that this is not an "official" release from the team and Schröder did not travel to Detroit for Tuesday evening's contest. Still, the biggest takeaway is that his injury is not "serious" (his words), and Atlanta can potentially expect the 21-year-old to rejoin the lineup soon.
