Jeff Teague rolls ankle, leaves game but returns

Jeff Teague left Wednesday's game against the Orlando Magic in the first quarter after suffering an ankle injury.

Atlanta Hawks point guard Jeff Teague left Wednesday's game against the Orlando Magic in the first quarter with a left ankle injury. Teague suffered the injury on a drive when his left ankle rolled. He fell to the floor in pain but got to his feet and hobbled back to the Atlanta bench. He was later ushered back to the Hawks locker room. His status for the remainder of the game is unknown at this point.

He later returned to the bench and Fox Sports Olivia Harlan reports that Teague has not yet been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Update

Teague checked back into the game following a timeout with 8:45 remaining in the second quarter. So for the moment it appears that Atlanta may have dodged a bullet.
