Injured Atlanta Hawks guard Thabo Sefolosha is closing in on a return to the court. Sefolosha took part in three-on-three drills following Wednesday's shootaround according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore.
When Mike Budenholzer updated Sefolosha's status last week he indicated that the guard would have to progress from one-on-one work to three-on-three before returning. It appears that he cleared that last hurdle on Wednesday. Sefolosha has been declared out for Wednesday's game against the Golden State Warriors but could find himself back in the lineup soon.
Atlanta's second unit could use the boost. The Hawks are already dealing with the loss of Mike Scott who is out with a broken toe and Kyle Korver who suffered a broken nose in Sunday's game. Kent Bazemore has saw an increase in minutes with Sefolosha out and will get the start in place of Korver on Wednesday.
Per Real GM's Shams Carania, Sefolosha is targeting Sunday's home game against the San Antonio Spurs for his return.
