The Atlanta Hawks are planning a call-up of Austin Daye out of Erie, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) March 14, 2015
Daye played 26 games this season with the San Antonio Spurs before being waived on January 17. From there he signed with the Erie Bayhawks of the NBA D-League where he has played nine games and is averaging 15.9 points on 41 percent shooting. His time with the Spurs and familiarity with Mike Budenholzer's system make him a potentially appealing option for Atlanta.
The Hawks also confirmed a report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that forward Mike Scott is out with a broken toe. Scott will see a foot specialist in Atlanta on Monday to help determine the appropriate course of action.
