Just hours after blocking four shots in 16 minutes as the Atlanta Hawks downed the Miami Heat, second-year big man Mike Muscala took the floor in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Sunday evening.

Muscala saw 30 minutes of court action as the Mad Ants fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce, and he was reasonably productive. While "Moose" was just 2 of 8 from the floor on the night, he knocked down his only three-point attempt while snatching eight rebounds and scoring five points.

While Muscala ranked just fifth on the Fort Wayne roster in minutes, he was utilized as the primary center for much of the night, flanking the prolific forward due of Andre Emmett (37 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists) and C.J. Fair (24 points, 5 rebounds).

It will be interesting to see if this is a short-term assignment for Mike Muscala, who was assigned to the Mad Ants just hours before tip-off on Sunday, as the big-league club returns to action on Tuesday night for a battle against the Houston Rockets. The Atlanta Hawks continue to provide playing time and ensuing development for their young players by utilizing the D-League, and this is simply the latest example.
