In what appears to be an unprecedented decision by the NBA, the entire starting five of the Atlanta Hawks has been named "player of the month" in January for the Eastern Conference.
Yes, you read that right. The entire starting five has been named for a player of the month honor.

Al Horford, Paul Millsap and Jeff Teague are headed to New York for the All-Star Game, but they are joined by Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll for this prestigious honor. The Hawks put together an unblemished, 17-0 mark in the month of January with a 19-game winning streak, and each member did their part in helping the team to the first undefeated month by any team in NBA history.
Congratulations to Al, Paul, Kyle, Jeff and DeMarre for what may be the first and only honor of this kind in the NBA.
