Mack suffered the injury in a win over the Chicago Bulls back on January 17. The Hawks upgraded Mack's status on Tuesday to questionable before ruling him out on Wednesday. His injury situation appears to be improving but he's not all the way back yet.
DeMarre Carroll told the AJC on Wednesday that he is good to go against the Wizards and expects to play his normal minutes. Carroll returned from a two-game absence due to a strained Achilles in Monday's loss in New Orleans. The Hawks are already without Thabo Sefolosha who will miss the next 6-8 weeks with a calf injury.
