Mavericks vs. Hawks: Game still on despite inclement weather

Tonight's game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Dallas Mavericks is still on according to multiple reports.

There was doubt whether the game would be played or not due to a snowstorm that is bearing down on Atlanta and north Georgia. Initial reports suggested that the game would be cancelled due to the weather but those have proven false for now.

Update

Wednesday's game was close to being postponed and Hawks employees and players were originally told that the game was cancelled according to the AJC's Chris Vivlamore.

No official word from the NBA ever came as to the postponement of the game. However, Hawks employees were sent home early, members of the statistical and security crews were told not to report to the arena and Hawks players were informed the game had been postponed. The Mavericks had a 5 p.m. bus scheduled from their team hotel - to either take them to the arena or the airport.
