Zach LaVine destroys competition in dunk contest

The Atlanta Hawks were absent from the dunk contest field, but Minnesota's Zach LaVine put on a show worth watching.

Zach LaVine isn't human.

The Minnesota Timberwolves rookie guard put on a show on Saturday night, and in the process, he utterly cruised to the win in the 2015 Sprite Slam Dunk. To be honest, it was clear that LaVine was the class of the event throughout the evening, but for a brief moment, it looked as if Orlando's Victor Oladipo would give him a run for his money.

Here is the best dunk of the night from anyone not named "Zach LaVine":

Oladipo's reign at the top of the list was short-lived, though, as Zach LaVine began his dominant evening with a terrifying (and beautiful) tribute to Michael Jordan from the "Space Jam" era.

Not to be outdone... by himself... LaVine followed that with another "50" that nearly broke the internet.

Those two dunks were more than enough to vault LaVine into the championship round against Oladipo, and while the rookie didn't quite live up to his early pace, he kept the show rolling with these two dunks while cruising to the win.

Zach LaVine is not of this world, and the favorite lived up to the billing while effectively turning late night in New York into a one-man extravaganza.
