We all loved seeing four of the Hawks being chosen to go to the All-Star Game. Here's the responses from the players themselves.

The First Three Selected

The evening of January 22nd, the All-Star voting ceased, and to the chagrin of everyone in Atlanta, not one of the East-leading Hawks was chosen to represent the East.  A week later, many fans feared that the Hawks might only end up with one or two selections.  That evening came, and the results were in:  three Hawks had been chosen to the East bench reserves:  Al Horford, Paul Millsap, and Jeff Teague.   Immediately the congratulations came in.

Second-year Hawk Mike Muscala was the first to chime in:

Next came the three All-stars' co-starter DeMarre Carroll:

Then up-and-comer Dennis S:

The other starter, Kyle Korver, also wanted to support his teammates:

Injured Shelvin Mack also got in on the action:

Al wanted to congratulate his fellow All-stars as well:

All three All-stars went on to thank their fans and teammates for the support:

Kyle Korver Added

On February 10th, Dwyane Wade decided to drop out of the All-Star game for injury reasons, and Commissioner Adam Silver chose his replacement:  the Atlanta Hawks' Kyle Korver.  This gave Atlanta four All-stars, which is only the seventh time that has happened, and the first time since the Celtics in 2011.  Players once again responded:

Kent Bazemore took to Twitter almost immediately after the announcement:

DeMarre was next to recognize Kyle:

Kyle's trip companion Jeff Teague went next:

And fellow All-star Al Horford wrapped up the night:

It will be great to see four Hawks representing Atlanta in the All-star Game!  Go Hawks!
