Saturday night will be a busy night for Atlanta Hawks players in the D-League. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore reports that the team has assigned shooting guard Lamar Patterson to the Austin Spurs of the NBA D-League via the flexible assignment rule.

Patterson will be in uniform tonight when the Spurs take on the Reno Bighorns at 8 p.m. ET. Patterson went scoreless in six minutes off the bench for the Hawks in Friday's win over the Lakers. He will join Tim Hardaway Jr and Walter Tavaares who are also on assignment in the D-League with the Canton Charge.
Patterson has appeared in 16 games for the Hawks so far this season and is averaging 3.1 points and 1.8 rebounds but is shooting just 33 percent from the field and 26 percent from three-point range. This will be Patterson's second stint with Austin this season. He averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists over a pair of games in November.
Atlanta has four straight off days beginning on Saturday. They don't play again until Wednesday when they open a short road trip against the Dallas Mavericks.
