Tiago Splitter was upgraded to questionable on the Atlanta Hawks latest injury report, but will likely be a game-time decision for Friday's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Splitter has been sidelined since November 21st when he played just nine minutes in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a sore hip. He has missed six straight games since then although he did take part in a portion of Thursday's practice.
A decision on Splitter will likely come after he has a chance to warm up before tonight's game, but the Hawks may ultimately decide to be cautious with four straight off days coming up. After Friday's game, Atlanta won't play again until Wednesday when they begin a short two-game road trip in Dallas.
Mike Muscala has seen the bulk of playing time at backup center in Splitter's absence. Splitter has appeared in 14 games so far this season averaging 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per night.
