Atlanta Hawks second-round pick Walter Tavares continues his D-League assignment Sunday afternoon as the Austin Spurs take on the Oklahoma City Blue. Tavares battled foul trouble in the first game of his current assignment playing just 16 minutes and finishing with two points and two rebounds. He will be looking to stay on the court a bit longer on Sunday.
Tavares is averaging 8.6 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in five D-League games this season. He is shooting 65 percent from the floor and is 13-of-15 from the free throw line.
Austin leads the D-League's Southwest division with a 10-3 mark. Oklahoma City has struggled early on and is off to a 2-11 start.
