Week six of the Fantasy Basketball season is here and I don't know about you but this is the time when I begin evaluating my roster and taking a deeper look at each individual player and how they are fitting into their team rotations......and beginning to make cuts. If you are doing the same or are streaming or whatever the case may be I have some options for you to consider this week.
Teams with four games this week are the Dallas Mavericks, Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards.
Teams with two games are the Charlotte Hornets and the Minnisota Timberwolves. Every other NBA team has three games on their schedule.
Waiver Wire
PG: Jerryd Bayless and the Bucks have four games this week and if you need three pointers Bayless is knocking down 2 of them a night to go along with 10 points, two steals, 3 assists and 3 rebounds per night playing 29 minutes a game over his last 5 games. He has a decent shooting percentage from the field (47%) but his free throw percentage of 60 percent is a killer. Bayless is currently available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues
PF C: Ed Davis and the Portland Trail Blazers have four games this week and Davis has three double doubles to his credit coming off the Trail Blazers bench. Over his past 5 games Davis is averaging 8.2 points and 7.6 rebounds playing 21 minutes per night. Excellent 68 percent shooting from the field but his 58 percent from the charity stripe will kill you. Davis is currently available in just over 60 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
SF: Omri Casspi and the Sacramento Kings have four games this week and if you need a bit of everything Casspi just might be your man. Over his past 5 games Casspi is averaging 12 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2 assists and is knocking down a triple a night playing 30 minutes a night over his last 5 games. Excellent 52 percent shooting from the field but atrocious 45 percent from the line. Casspi is available in just over 85 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
SG SF: C.J. Miles and the Indiana Pacers have three games this week and if you are looking for three pointers Miles has been knocking down 4 of them a night over his last 5 games. He's also averaging 20 points, 1.2 steals and not much else playing 27 minutes a night. Super 50 percent shooting percentage from the floor to go along with a great 81 percent from the line and Miles is available in just over 55 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
SF PF: Robert Covington and the Philadelphia 76ers have three games this week and if you have been paying attention over his last five games Covington has been stuffing the stat sheet to the tune of 13.4 points, 2.8 steals, 1 block, 1 assist and 6.8 rebounds including 1 triple a night playing just under 30 minutes. Terrible 34 percent shooting from the field but much more encouraging 81 percent from the line and Covington is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
SG: Dion Waiters and the Oklahoma City Thunder have three games this week and over his past five games Waiters has averaged 12.4 points, 2 steals, 2.6 assists and 3 rebounds and one triple a night playing 27 minutes a night mostly off of the Thunder bench. Decent 40 percent shooting from the floor and solid 81 percent from the line and Waiters is available in just over 80 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
SF: Matt Barnes and the Memphis Grizzlies have three games this week and over his last five games Barnes is averaging 10.8 points, 1.6 steals, 2 assists and 5.4 rebounds including one triple a night playing 29 minutes a night mostly off of the Grizzlies bench. Solid 41 percent shooting from the field and average 71 percent from the line and Barnes is available in over 90 percent of all Major Fantasy Basketball leagues.
Good luck this week Fantasy basketball owner!
