Well guys, it's been a rough week with a few losses and injuries, but the Hawks are still going strong. So with that in mind, let's take a look at where the Hawks are ranked in this week's power ranking roundup.

John Schumann of NBA.comstarts things off for us by dropping the Hawks to No. 8

The Hawks went from winning seven straight games to losing three of their last four, allowing both the Wolves and Jazz, two not-so-great offensive teams, to shoot better than 50 percent. The problem on Friday in Boston was a more familiar one (17 offensive rebounds and 24 second chance points for the Celtics). Both Jeff Teague and Kent Bazemore are dealing with ankle injuries.

Marc Stein of ESPN.com puts the Hawks at No. 5 after a rough week.

By halftime last Monday, when the Hawks were down 72-42 at home to Minnesota mere hours after our most recent rankings dispatch, we feared that we jinxed them as much as the Committee of One has ever jinxed any team. Turns out Atlanta's week wasn't quite that bad, but we must have gotten to Paul Millsap too.

USATODAY.com ranks the Hawks 4th and thinks that people may have been wrong about the team.

Proving folks wrong that last season was a fluke

Matt Moore of CBSsports.com drops the Hawks to No. 7 and has concerns of the rebounding.

The Hawks added Tiago Splitter in the offseason and they're still getting crushed on the glass (29th in rebound percentage). Their defense in losses is 10 points worse than in wins, which is a significant gap. The Hawks are trapeze artists who keep losing the rope.

That does it for this weeks ranking roundup. Hopefully, the Hawks can move back up in the rankings, but most importantly lets get the injuries under control. As always, let me know what you guys think in the comment section.
