Kent Bazemore suffered an ankle injury with 2:20 remaining in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Utah Jazz and did not return. Bazemore rolled his right ankle on a drive to the basket and had to be helped to the locker room area. He did not return to the game and his status going forward is unknown at this time.
Bazemore was having a great game to the point of the injury with 16 points on 6 of 7 shooting to go along with three rebounds and three assists. He also helped hold Utah's Gordon Hayward in check defensively. Hayward finished with seven points on 3 of 9 shooting including 0 for 4 from beyond the arc.
The Hawks were already without Jeff Teague who suffered an ankle injury of his own in Friday's loss to the Celtics. Thabo Sefolosha took Bazemore's place down the stretch but Mike Budenholzer could be forced to juggle his rotation some if Bazemore is out for any length of time.
