As the Atlanta Hawks emerged from their final preseason game against the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, the only question with regard to the regular season roster was whether the team would keep Lamar Patterson or go with only 14 players. That question has been answered.
Hawks have released Earl Barron and DeQuan Jones. Lamar Patterson has made team.

Though the Hawks have not officially announced their 15-man roster, the Patterson news comes as no surprise, as he was deployed for the most playing time of any non-roster invitee. In addition, the 6-foot-5 swingman finished the final preseason game with 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals in 31 minutes, cementing his place on the permanent roster.
Official details of Patterson's contract have not been revealed, and it will be interesting to see if there are penalties in place should the Hawks look to move on from him during the course of the season. At this point, though, Lamar Patterson is a member of the Atlanta Hawks as the season opens Tuesday.
