The lion's share of attention for Thabo Sefolosha has centered on his acquittal from the New York nightclub incident, but on Saturday, some positive news surfaced about his potential return to the basketball court. Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution caught up with Atlanta Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer, and he had this to say about Sefolosha, who could return to action on Wednesday:
"We’ll see how these next couple of days go but I’d say I am, we are, hopeful that he’ll at least be able to play a few minutes on Wednesday."
Wednesday's contests marks the home preseason opener for the Hawks, who take on the San Antonio Spurs at Philips Arena. While it is safe to assume that Sefolosha would not see a full workload at this juncture, it would be nice to see the presumptive starting small forward on the floor with approximately two weeks to go until the regular season opener.
Stay tuned.
