In keeping with the day of accolades for the Hawks, Jeff Teague has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week for December 29-January 4.
Teague led the Hawks to a 3-0 record in that timespan, with wins at home against Cleveland and at the Jazz and Trail Blazers. He averaged 23.7 points, 8.3 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals while shooting 58.7 percent.
At home against the Cavaliers on the Dec. 30, Teague had 23 points, five rebounds and three steals. At Utah on Jan. 2, he showed no signs of jetlag while scoring 26 points and contributing eight assists. The very next night at Portland, he showed no signs of being tired as he added 22 points and six assists.

Al Horford won the award earlier this season for Atlanta in December 15-21, after another stretch of great play by the Hawks.
