Adreian Payne and John Jenkins continued their D-League assignment Saturday night. Payne was in uniform again for the Austin Spurs while Jenkins suited up for the Idaho Stampede.

The Spurs bounced back on Saturday with a 134-126 win over the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Payne started at center and finished with 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists. He was 6-12 from the floor, missed both of his three-point attempts and just 1-4 at the free throw line. Bryce Cotton led the Spurs with 32 points as they improve to 12-5 on the season. Rockets first round pick Clint Capela led the Vipers with 31 points.

The Idaho Stampede faltered late again falling 96-91 to the Bakersfield Jam. Idaho's losing streak is now at 13 straight games. John Jenkins got the start in a three-guard lineup and played well finishing with 18 points and six rebounds on 6-12 shooting. He was just 1-4 from three-point range but was 5-5 at the free throw line. Joe Jackson led the Jam with 24 points off the bench.

There is no set time frame on when Jenkins or Payne's assignments might end. Idaho doesn't play again until Tuesday at home against Oklahoma City. Austin also returns to action on Tuesday as they hit the road to take on the Reno Bighorns. Atlanta wraps up its three-game road trip on Monday in Los Angeles. The Hawks are off on Tuesday before returning home on Wednesday to face the Grizzlies.
