Both Adreian Payne and John Jenkins were in uniform Friday night in the D-League but were playing for two different teams and neither were the Fort Wayne Mad Ants who are technically Atlanta's affiliate thanks to the NBA's flexible assignment rule.

Payne and the Austin Spurs suffered a 112-103 defeat to the Texas Legends while Jenkins and the Idaho Stampede were dropped by the Bakersfield Jam 119-101.

Austin lost its first home game of the season thanks to a late comeback by the Legends. Texas out scored the Spurs 38-26 in the fourth quarter to claim the victory. Payne started at center for Austin but failed to find much of a rhythm finishing with four points, four rebounds and four personal fouls in just 15 minutes of action. Damion James led the Legends with 21 points while former Hawks forward Ivan Johnson received a DNP-CD.
