Atlanta now has 14 players under contract for next season and an agreement in place with free agent Kent Bazemore who's deal hasn't officially been announced. Brand joins a front court that also features Al Horford, Pero Antic and Mike Muscala as available center options. Atlanta will eventually bring in other players for training camp but their regular season roster appears to be set.
Brand will be leaned heavily for leadership in the wake of the turmoil that has engulfed the franchise this week. Brand appeared in 73 games last season with the Hawks and averaged 2.6 points and 4.9 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field.
