Dennis Schröder helps Germany qualify for 2015 Eurobasket

Dennis Schröder and the German National team defeated Luxembourg on Wednesday and secured a spot in the 2015 Eurobasket.

Germany scored a 118-66 win over Luxembourg on Wednesday and secured a spot in the 2015 Eurobasket tournament going 4-2 in the Group C of the 2nd round qualifier. Germany finished second in the group behind Poland who went 5-1.

Schröder played 22 minutes against Luxembourg and finished with 10 points, seven assists and four turnovers. He went 4-7 from the field. He finishes the tournament with team best averages in points (15.3) and assists (5.3). Schroöder shot the ball extremely well converting on 57 percent of his field goal attempts including 44 percent from three-point range. He was a perfect 18-18 from the free throw line in the six games.

Schröder stated before the tournament that his goal was to get Germany into the Eurobasket where they will have a chance to qualify for the 2016 Olympics.

Germany will be among 24 teams that will compete next September in the Eurobasket tournament.
