The quest for a WNBA Championship begins on Friday for the Atlanta Dream when they host the Chicago Sky in Game 1 of the best-of-three series.
Atlanta captured its first ever No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs despite losing 10 of their last 14 games. Chicago suffered through an injury plagued season but recovered to make the playoffs as the No. 4 seed with a 15-19 record. The Sky took three of the five meetings during the regular season including both meetings in Chicago and one at Georgia Tech's McCamish Pavilion. The Sky did stumble into the playoffs losing three of their last five games.
