The Phoenix Mercury have locked up the No. 1 overall seed in the WNBA Playoffs while the Atlanta Dream are searching for anything positive after completing a winless road trip. Atlanta has lost five straight and nine of eleven but still lead the Eastern Conference by 2.5 games over Chicago and Washington.

Atlanta dropped an 80-69 decision in Chicago on Sunday to finish off an 0-4 road trip. Angel McCoughtry sat out that game due to tendinitis in both feet and her status for Wednesday's game is unknown. The Dream's offense sputtered on the road trip as they failed to crack 40 percent shooting in any of the four games. Since the All-Star break, Atlanta has struggled to find any consistency and need to shore things up before heading into the playoffs.

Phoenix arrives in Atlanta in Atlanta on the second night of a back-to-back after defeating the New York Liberty 76-64 on Tuesday. Having clinched the top seed heading into the playoffs they have the luxury of resting players or limiting their minutes for the remainder of the regular season.

The Dream dropped a 75-67 decision earlier this month in Phoenix. Atlanta led going to the fourth quarter but Diana Taurasi scored nine of her 14 points in the final 10 minutes to lead the Mercury to the win.
