Former Alabama point guard Trevor Releford will begin his professional career in Poland per a report by Sportando. Releford was a four-year player for the Crimson Tide and went to summer league with the Atlanta Hawks.

Releford put up a good showing in Las Vegas playing in five games and averaging 6.8 points per game on 52 percent shooting. He helped spark Atlanta to a couple of wins in the bracket portion of the summer league schedule.

Releford's announcement comes one day after summer league teammate Stephen Holt announced that he was headed to Germany next season. Per reports, Holt had a training camp invite from the Hawks but opted to take the guaranteed money of Europe now. No word on whether or not Releford had the option of going to camp with the Hawks.
