Stephen Holt is headed to Germany to play next season according to a report by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Hawks summer league participant Stephen Holt will play in Germany. Had an opportunity to go to training camp with Hawks. #ATLHawks

Holt averaged 8.6 points and connected on 42 percent of his three-point attempts in five games at the Vegas Summer League with the Atlanta Hawks. The AJC also reports that Holt had the option of going to training camp with Atlanta but he opted instead to take the deal in Germany.
Its a wise move for Holt especially given the roster situation that the Hawks currently face. Atlanta appears set at shooting guard with the return of Kyle Korver and the additions of Kent Bazemore and Thabo Sefolosha. Also in the mix will be third-year guard John Jenkins provided he is fully recovered from last season's back surgery.
In other roster news, free agent center Gustavo Ayon has fully recovered from shoulder surgery that ended his 2014 season early. He will play in the Centrobasket tournament for Mexico later this summer.
Update
The AJC's article on Holt includes a statement from Holt's agent saying that his client was appreciative of the Hawks' offer and that his client hoped to play for Atlanta's summer league entry again next summer. Click through for the rest of the story.
