There has been little news involving the Atlanta Hawks of late but the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the team is finalizing contract details with first-round pick Adreian Payne.
The Hawks are finalizing a contract with first-round draft pick Adreian Payne this morning. Deal could be signed soon thereafter. #Hawks

Payne's contract will be guaranteed for two seasons per league rules and will be in the neighborhood of $1.5 million. The CBA agreement permits teams and players to agree to deals worth anywhere from 80 to 120 percent of that number.
Payne was selected by the Hawks with the 15th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft out of Michigan State. He was part of Atlanta's entry in the Vegas Summer League where he averaged 12.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in six games. Payne figures to play a part in Atlanta's front court picture next season.
