Tuesday afternoon didn't go well. The Portland Trail Blazers unceremoniously dispatched of the Atlanta Hawks by a 15-point margin on that day, and by all accounts, they were the far superior team. On Thursday, however, the Hawks will have the opportunity to bounce back from that defeat, as they face off with Portland in a rematch for the chance to advance to the quarterfinals of the 2014 Las Vegas Summer League tournament.
Fortunately for the Hawks, the Blazers will be operating without one of their better players, as power forward Thomas Robinson has been ruled out for the duration of the week with injury. Still, Robinson was not the main reason that Atlanta was unable to counter Portland's onslaught in the first meeting, and the duo of Will Barton and C.J. McCollum will present a significant challenge to the backcourt.
Keep an eye on John Jenkins, as he was unable to go on Wednesday with lingering back issues, and it will be interesting to see if he can play on Thursday. Stay tuned for the latest throughout the day.
