The Atlanta Hawks dropped their first game of the Summer League campaign to the Washington Wizards, but as the nature of the beast suggests, the team is back in action on Sunday with a different and unique opponent. There are 24 entrants to the Las Vegas Summer League, but the only the NBA's D-League select team is not affiliated with an NBA club. Naturally, that is the opposition for Sunday evening.
In the opener, the Hawks struggled offensively and especially in efficiency, and that will undoubtedly be a focus for the upcoming game. Atlanta looked to be jittery at times in the opener, but with a full game under their belts, it should be a more measured approach in game two.
On the other side, the D-League select team features former NBA players including Devin Ebanks and Terrel Harris, but nothing in the way of hyped products. It will be interesting to see how Atlanta measures up, and we'll be here to bring you the latest from Las Vegas. Stay tuned.
