Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reports that rival General Managers think the Atlanta Hawks' Mike Scott can be had in restricted free agency with a strong offer sheet.
Rival teams believe that Atlanta's Mike Scott is a restricted agent who can be had with a strong offer sheet. Hawks protecting cap space.

Atlanta issued Scott a qualifying offer before Monday's midnight deadline giving them the ability to match any offer he receives on the open market. However, such a move would tie up Atlanta's cap space for up to three days. The Hawks cleared potential salary space by moving Lou Williams to Toronto. They have been mentioned as possible suitors for the likes of Luol Deng and Greg Monroe.
It remains to be seen what sort of offers Scott might command from other teams after a breakout sophomore performance. Still the Hawks spent the 15th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft on Adreian Payne who himself is a power forward with a strong perimeter game.
If the Hawks are in discussions with a free agent and a team makes an offer to Scott, they may be forced to make a quick decision and choose not to tie up their cap space.
