Casey Prather to join Hawks summer league team

Florida's Casey Prather will join the Atlanta Hawks' summer league entry in Las Vegas per a report from Basketball Insider's Alex Kennedy.

With the NBA Draft complete, the Atlanta Hawks will begin rounding out their summer league roster over the next few days. Basketball Insider's Alex Kennedy reports that Florida's Casey Prather will go to Vegas with the Atlanta Hawks.

Prather was a four-year player with the Gators and averaged 13.8 points per game while shooting just over 60 percent from the field this season. He measured out at just over 6-5 in shoes during a Clippers workout. Expect the Hawks to add a number of wing prospects to their summer league team.

Atlanta's summer league roster is still taking shape but a number of players who are under direct control of with the team are expected to participate. Among those are John Jenkins, Dennis Schroder, Lucas Nogueira and Mike Muscala. 2014 Draft picks Adreian Payne and Lamar Patterson will also suit up. Second-round pick Walter Tavares also could participate but his status is still uncertain per a report from the AJC.

Remember last summer that Nogueira didn't gain FIBA clearance to participate in summer league until right before Atlanta's first game in Las Vegas. That is likely the biggest hurdle in regards to Tavares.
