The Atlanta Dream are riding a six-game winning streak and look to set a franchise record on Sunday when they finish a home-and-home set with the New York Liberty. Atlanta defeated New York 85-64 on Friday behind a balanced offensive attack and a stellar defensive performance. The Dream held the Liberty's high-scoring duo of Tina Charles and  Cappie Pondexter to just 12 points on a combined 6-20 shooting.

"Championship teams play off their defense, said Dream head coach Michael Cooper after Friday's game." "I feel if we can get 20-plus points off our defense, it's going to really help our offense so we don't have to put that strain on our offense. But again I thought we were very active in our rotations and with our hands getting deflections and steals, they just followed the game plan to a tee." The Dream turned 16 Liberty turnovers into 23 points in Friday's matchup.

Sunday's game is in New York and while Atlanta has dominated at home, they are just 2-2 on the road. New York has lost five straight and head coach Bill Laimbeer was disappointed with his team's performance on Friday. He went so far as to question their effort in the loss.

"I thought we played very hard all year long -- every game, every minute, said Laimbeer."  I thought this one we gave into the frustration and it showed up. "

When asked about Sunday's game, Laimbeer responded that they would make some adjustments and try to get the ball back in the hands of their scorers. Cooper also hinted at adjustments acknowledging that its difficult to play back-to-back games against the same opponent.

While Atlanta might switch up some coverages for the most part you can see exactly what Cooper wants his team to do and that is control the pace and attack in transition. If they can do that again on Sunday they will be in great position to earn another win.
